Open Championships Nov 07 - Behind the Scenes on the Day!

The Organisation doesn’t stop there….

1The Spectators Entrance has to be manned, to get the Spectators And Competitors into the Venue quickly and efficiently. Alison Harding 2nd Dan & Neal Harding braved the surging masses! Once everyone is safely in, and settled the day begins!

The Assembly point manager-  has the unenviable task of getting us all sorted, and to the right arenas on time. Sarah & Joe Trusell did a fantastic job of making sure it all ran smoothly.

1Awards PresenterMaster Thorne is the gentleman who proudly gives you those well earned trophies at the end of your categories.

Arbitrators- Master Ward  (& Master Evans not pictured) took on the role of “peacemakers”.I don’t there were too many contentious issues this year- so it looks like you all behaved yourselves!

1It’s good to know that our event is open to all Karate based styles, and that it is run within a friendly environment with the basis of making new friends. Most of our old friends and “rivals” keep returning so we must be doing something right!

Judges – Masters & Black Belts.
I’m sure everyone appreciates the tough job all of you did of judging. Our goal has always been to provide a well organised and fair competition for all entrants, and I think you did just that! I would love to name all you individually, but I would hate to miss anyone out, it just leaves me to say on everyones behalf ….
Well done and Thank-you Guys & Girls for a splendid job!

Your Photographers for the day Gill Hampton & John Butler

1I would hate to miss out our Stella Anstee and Sue Warfield who ran the Souvenir Table, that’s loaded with all sorts of  items: Pens; Key rings; Water bottles; mugs; Baseball caps; and Car stickers are this years newest
item designed by Joanne Bray (Bradley Stoke DTSD).

Ceativity Team - The Mad Bunch- we know who you are!
Thank you for keeping us entertained this year. I for one am looking forward to the next one.

Bat- Homer? As you can see they had a bit of an identity crisis, but it got sorted out before the day!

Don’t worry folks there’s more shots from the day on the Photo pages showing what the creativity team got up to.

Well everyone, I hope you have enjoyed a tour behind the scenes? I certainly had a great time behind the Camera, and doing some reporting.

Last but not least- not forgetting our Website Designer - Joanne Bray without whom you wouldn’t get to see the finished results.
